A LITTLE ABOUT DEBBIE & KURT...
A lot of people assume that Kurt and Debbie met working in a band or through some other music connection, but the
fact is they first met at a college mixer. Hard to say if it was love at first sight, but they definitely fell in love.

A bit unlikely, really -- Kurt was a full-blown rock and roll guitarist and Debbie was a classically trained soprano
singing in large choirs and small choral groups. She listened to more music from Broadway plays than rock groups,
but they were young and in love and they also shared a love of music...
so...inevitably, they wanted to perform music together.

The union led them to a shared musical career in numerous rock bands -- Rubaiyat in the late 70's, where Debbie
found her rock and roll voice and they both learned the ropes of the music business...Alter Ego in the early 80's, a
very successful group that won multiple local music magazine polls as "Best Cover Band" in northern DE... and
Airport Road, an offshoot from Group Therapy in the early 90s. Throughout the mid and late 90s, they played
Christian music with The Friday Night Group and Updraft. They jumped back into the nightclub rock and roll scene
2003 thru 2009 with Dow Jones and the Averages.

Currently, Kurt is also playing electric guitar and singing with the party band Common Ground in the
Lancaster/Harrisburg area, while Debbie is returning to her classical roots as part of
The Heritage Chorale of Lancaster, a 50-member choir.

BrownSound Music is JUST Kurt and Debbie. While definitely more mellow than the rock they've performed
together in the past, it is stil a showcase for their unique talents. This musical vehicle allows them to explore other
parts of their artistic souls and strengthens the bond that is so evident when they perform.
